Hi nerds -
I salute you from Miami, a city meant to sink within the next 80 years, currently holding a real estate boom of over 20%.
Raising in prices, population, climate risk, and municipal finances, it's only a matter of time until the entire city infrastructure gets raised as well (like the building on the right corner).

π Paralyzers and boosters: Fear is caused by uncertainty. That's why the more in-depth we study subjects, the riskier bets we're willing to make.
That's why getting to know our body, our feelings, and our brain means we start acting from abundance, rather than scarcity.
Fear acts as a paralyzer, a ceiling to our potential, while understanding acts as a life booster, a rocket to where we're meant to go.

π©π»βπ« Scrum Schools: I'm convinced that many of the processes we use within software industry will permeate to other fields due to our ability to adapt fast and effectively to constant change.
Much like how coding bootcamps are structured today, I'm excited to see Scrum events + rituals implemented in curriculum design:

π Smart contracts: Crypto coins and NFTs have put blockchain on the mainstream conversation in recent months. However, I'm increasingly convinced that smart contracts is where blockchain will shine the most.
βSmart contracts are secure, decentralized transactions set on a blockchain that, following a set of conditions, will run whatever we tell it. For ex, I buy an apartment and set up a smart contract establishing that, as soon as Alice transfers $10 over to my wallet, the legal ownership of the apartment is automatically transferred to her.
Now take that to government bureaucracy, financial services, or health-care procedures... Corruption levels decrease, services are made more efficient, and trust is reestablished within societies.

"Trust = (Credibility + Reliability + Authenticity) / Perception of Self-Interest.
The amount you trust someone is the sum of how credible you believe they are on a subject, how reliable they've proven themselves to be over time, and how authentic you think they are as a person, divided by how much you think they're acting in their own self interest."

Japanese band Shintaro Sakamoto has a sound that is fresh, tropical, and upbeat. Perfect for when you're cooking dinner afterwork or drinking beer with friends.

Problem: You love an app - like Spotify, for ex. But maybe it's too expensive for you, the interface could be better, etc.
Solution: AlternativeTo - a synonym directory for apps. Essentially it's a search engine where you can look for any app and it'll provide you alternative options with peer reviews and rankings on each one.

Learning to code is 21st century super-power. I work as a Software Engineer and teacher around the world. My purpose is to empower others by showing them what we can do with our brain, a computer and wifi.
Hi nerds - I salute you from Berlin, a city that strangely feels like a home away from home. This week, I spoke at DappCon, a conference for developers building crypto infrastructure. In a classic Berlin style, they had deep house playing in the yard, vegan food, green juices, and a wellness conference running on parallel at the top floor. Needless to say, one of my favorite crypto conferences so far. 3_brain_farts πͺπ½ Impact-effort matrix: The impact-effort matrix is a prioritization mental...
Hi nerds - I salute you from ETHCC in Paris, where I just presented a keynote about the smart contracts behind DAOs. Weβve been working hard at Aragon to launch our new product - a permission management system - and today was the first time we were sharing it so widely! Exciting time to be building in the open π. 3_brain_farts π How to find the one: Image youβre an employer looking to hire a Secretary and you need to hire him/her right after the interview. Hi nerds - I salute you from the Panama City airport, about to hop on a flight to Athens, Greece. Something interesting about bear markets is that they have been breeding ground for some of the most renown names in technology today: Square, Stripe, and Uber in 2009, Airbnb and Groupon in 2008, Facebook in 2004, Adobe in β82 and Microsoft in β75. But to build successful solutions teams need to run research - so thatβs what weβre doing at Surge! If you have 1-2 minutes, please fill out this...
